The DOW lost about .4 % this week and the Nasdaq gained about .4% this week. Both indexes lost about 1.5% by Wednesday and then gained some ground back at the end of the week.
We closed one more winning trade this week with our Coca-Cola (KO) trade. And, we opened 2 new positions with Disney (DIS) and VeriSign (VRSN).
Disney announced after the close on Friday that it is increasing its annual dividend from 24 cents to 27 cents. Disney pays its dividend annually. The record holding date for the dividend is Monday, December 12. We will be watching the stock price this week and may sell Disney before Monday if we believe the situation is right to do so.
VeriSign has been an interesting stock lately. You may want to pay close attention to your email the first half hour or so of trading on Monday in case this stock makes an upward move at the open. We are a little in the black right now and would like to take a quick gain with less than a full day exposure in this position (as we bought it Friday around noon).
