[Weekend Summary] Dear Member: A pretty good week overall. I closed two short positions for profits. I originally had sold the Jan '07 220 calls on BBH against my 200 calls for $10.10. When BBH dropped and then turned back up I bought them back for an $8.20 fill or a $1.90 a share profit before commission on the leg. I was able to accomplish a similar trade closing my short Jan '07 50 for a $2.45 a share profit before commission. In each case I retained the long position as the stock started back up, thus paving the way for increasing value with a continued increase in price. Tenet Healthcare (THC) looked strong when it gapped up on high volume Thursday and was up again today. My $5 Jan '07 LEAPS call is now in profitable territory. The straddles continue to do what straddles do. Cardinal Health (CAH) and Morgan Stanley (MS) are trending up and adding to the call side value. Burlington Resources (BR)isn't very exciting at the moment as it consolidates, but I am looking forward to some increased volatility. I am looking forward to this weekend when I am giving a stock and option trading seminar on one of my favorite places -- the beautiful island of Kauai. Have a wonderful weekend.
