[Weekend Summary]
Dear Member:
As the earnings season begins, the markets are looking strong. The Dow, NASDAQ, and SP-500 all broke resistance this week. Next week will be a short trading week with the holiday on Monday. Equity options expire on Friday.
Horizon Offshore (HOFF) made a nice bounce off support today.
Yumana Gold (AUY) is staying in an uptrend and had a strong day on Friday.
Nuveen Sr. Income Fund (NSL) has been stair-stepping its way up and is scheduled to pay another dividend on February 1st. The share price is up almost 7% since my entry, and the fund is paying dividends at an annual rate of approximately 9% based on my $7.99 entry. Dividends are paid monthly.
