[Weekend Summary]
Dear Member:
As the earnings season begins, the markets are looking strong. The Dow, NASDAQ, and SP-500 all broke resistance this week. Next week will be a short trading week with the holiday on Monday. Equity options expire on Friday.
Denny's (DENN) appears to have finished its strong move so I exited my position for a 5.5% gain before commissions.
I entered a position in Transglobe Energy (TGA)this week and it is doing okay; it closed the week just above my entry.
Blackrock Senior HiIncome (ARK) paid another dividend this week and is still in an uptrend. Navios Maritime (BULK)is also staying in the uptrend.
Iamgold (IAG)had a strong day Friday and has bounced back up off support.
Mindspeed (MSPD) remains in its channel.
Both Healthtronics (HTRN)and Emcore (EMKR) had disappointing weeks. Unless I see a bounce early next week, I'll have to pull the plug with losses on these two.
