[Weekend Summary]
Dear Member:
The markets have continued to show remarkable strength and just when it looked like they might turn over, Mr. Bernanke's comments gave a renewed lift. All the major indices were up for the week and volatilities remain quite low so the bull appears to be alive even if a bit long in the horn.
Well, I had pretty good success with the latest Ppl Corp (PPL) trade that I closed for a $1.74 a share gain in about a month. That worked out to about +5%.
Nuveen Senior Income Fd (NSL) continues to be a stellar performer with the stock price up almost 11% since entry. Add to that another roughly 6.5% in dividend payments and the play is turning out quite well. The fund went ex-dividend on the 13th and pays another .058 a share on March 1st.
I am currently down to only the NSL position in Trend Trader, and unsuccessfully tried to get into a position in Tektronix (TEK) on Thursday. I'll watch that one as well as several others to see if I can find an entry in something that looks strong early next week. The markets are closed for President's Day on Monday, so I'll be ready to act Tuesday if the bullish sentiment continues to prevail.
Thank you for subscribing and have a great weekend.
Sincerely,
Bill Kraft
